AHEC Jr. Scholars
Encouraging and Informing tomorrow's health care workforce
AHEC Jr. Scholars is a high school program that takes students with an interest in the medical field and expands on it. With these programs, we give students the information they need to find a career that is best suited for them and insight for being admitted into their field of choice.

Within these programs, we provide the students with:
Multiple presentations geared towards their interests from professionals and different health career schools
Simulation and learning tools. We were able to provide IV training arm simulation aids as well as full skeleton models for anatomy and physiology study
We set up multiple field trip opportunities for our students to tour different areas of study at TTUHSC and CSON
We tried our best to coordinate job-shadowing opportunities for the students in rural hospitals or clinics. We also provided them with their own scrubs for them to use in future clinicals.
